Laurier Chamber Orchestra Concert

Sunday, November 19, 3:00pm

The Guelph Youth Music Centre is excited to welcome the Wilfrid Laurier University Chamber Orchestra with the Penderecki String Quartet on Sunday, November 19th at 3pm in the GYMC Recital Hall. The WLU chamber orchestra will perform a 60 minute program which includes F. Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 10 in B minor, K. Day’s Variation V, and M. Richter’s The Four Seasons Recomposed (Vivaldi).  The Guelph Youth Music Centre is committed to making music and music education accessible to kids, youth, and the broader Guelph Community. Admission to this concert will be “Pay As You Wish” and all are welcome to join. Reserve tickets now.

An Evening in Support of the Guelph Youth Music Centre

The Guelph Youth Music Centre is thrilled to present a night of music and laughter. ​​Join us for “BROADSWAY: An Evening in Support of the Guelph Youth Music Centre,” a concert fundraiser. Broadsway promises to be a night like no other. This exceptional trio, consisting of Dora Mavor Moore Award-nominee Diane Leah, JUNO-nominee Heather Bambrick, and internationally acclaimed jazz artist Julie Michels, skillfully blends the melodies of Broadway with a generous dose of humor and improvisational jazz. These uber-talented “Broads” have captivated audiences for over a decade. GYMC String Orchestra:
Winter Concert

Saturday, December 16, 2:00pm and 4:00pm

Please join us on Saturday, December 16 for the Guelph Youth Music Centre’s String Orchestra Winter Concert held in the GYMC Recital Hall. The orchestras have prepared an exciting program of Abba, Tchaikovsky, classic holiday music, and much more! Due to the growth of the ensemble, the orchestras will hold two afternoon concerts to accommodate all family and friends. Performances will take place at 2:00pm and 4:00pm.  Tickets are “pay as you wish” with a suggested donation of $10 per person. A short reception with refreshments will be held in the upper foyer following each concert. Reserve tickets now.

Free Family Day Event

Monday, February 19, 2024, 10am-3pm

Get ready for a fantastic family fun event, KnightsFest, where the Medieval era comes to life with displays, costumes, games, and entertainment. It’s a free event for the whole family and a top favorite at the GYMC. Blackthorn Production will be your guides, offering music, costumed demonstrations, interactive games, and armor displays.
