Cootie Catcher & Cowboy Medicine

The Guelph Youth Music Centre is so pleased to have Toronto-based twee quartet Cootie Catcher and Guelph's own folk duo Cowboy Medicine at our Recital Hall!

This is Showlab's very first event, a concert hosted and organized in-part by the team of emerging youth event organizers! Showlab's events are ALL AGES and PAY WHAT YOU CAN!

TICKETS

WHEN: SATURDAY, AUGUST 22, 7:00PM

WHERE: RECITAL HALL (GYMC, 75 CARDIGAN ST)

More about the bands:

Toronto-based quartet Cootie Catcher hypercharges the tenderness of twee pop with high-energy electronics and an unabashedly direct lyrical presence. On melodic, uptempo, and overpoweringly joyous songs, the band investigates raw feelings and vulnerable situations, pulling no emotional punches but basking in major key jangle and ecstatic synth tones the entire time. Their newest album and Carpark debut, Something We All Got, is the most high definition of their sound yet, graduating from the basement-born recordings that came before it without losing the saturated excitement of those lo-fi roots.

A duo project created on a foundation of friendship and shared passions, Cowboy Medicine is rooted in tight harmony and story telling. Kale and Lane bring their chemistry and folksy indie influence to the stage, showcasing their shared experiences and the growing pains of life.

Accessibility Notes:

GYMC's Recital Hall is a physically accessible venue, with elevator access to the 2nd floor where the hall is located. There will be a mix of standing room, raised seating and floor seating as well as space for wheelchairs seating in the hall. Masks and earplugs will be available at the door.

This is an inclusive event, with no space for sexism, homophobia, racism, transphobia and all other forms of discrimination. Be respectful, be kind, have fun!
